Ideal Motors successfully hosted the Mahindra Ideal Excellence Awards 2026 on 10th March at Wave and Lake, Welisara, in a grand evening dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the achievements of its island wide dealer and partner network.
The event brought together commercial vehicle dealers, spare parts dealers, service dealers, and valued banking and finance partners from across Sri Lanka who continue to play a vital role in strengthening the Mahindra commercial vehicle presence in the country.
The ceremony was graced by Founder and Chairman of Ideal Motors Nalin Welgama, Group Managing Director and CEO Dilani Yatawaka, and Director Legal and Corporate Affairs Nimisha Welgama, along with members of the Ideal Motors management team and staff.
Distinguished representatives from Mahindra and Mahindra also attended the event, including Sachin Arolkar, Head of International Operations, Automotive Division of Mahindra and Mahindra Europe Srl, Senthil Selvaraju, Head Customer Care, International Operations Automotive Division Mahindra and Mahindra, Sujeet Jayant, Country Head Sri Lanka Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, and Shitam Kundu, Country Service Manager Sri Lanka Mahindra and Mahindra.
The evening also saw the presence of key members of the Ideal Motors leadership team including Kasun Fernando, General Manager Commercial Vehicle Sales, Sameera Bamunuarachchi, Deputy General Manager Spare Parts Logistics and Inventory, and Prasanna Manamperi, Deputy General Manager After Market Technical Operations.
During the event, top performing dealers and partners were recognized for their outstanding contribution and dedication to the Mahindra brand. Awards, certificates, and cash rewards were presented to honor their achievements and continued commitment to excellence.
The Mahindra Ideal Excellence Awards reflects Ideal Motors’ appreciation for the strong partnerships that drive the success of the Mahindra commercial vehicle network in Sri Lanka. The evening concluded as a memorable celebration of teamwork, dedication, and shared success across the Mahindra and Ideal Motors family.
